What I do for ABc and why:


I love working with Austin Bat Cave because it is a way for me to get the fun part of working with kids without all the hard work of being a teacher! The students bring their energy and ideas to the after school tutoring and you never know what you will learn or what cool story they will create. I enjoyed sharing my old teacher stuff – materials and ideas – with the staff and interns, though I do feel too young to be the old salt of the group! But mostly, I like being a part of ABC because I really believe in its mission. Supporting writing and supporting kids, that is something that I really connect with.
