The super secretive workshop teachers for this FUNTASTIC WRITING WORKSHOP are keeping this writing workshop super secret, but judging by the teachers–KA HOLT of Brains for Lunch fame and Jennifer Ziegler of Sass and Serendipity fame–this workshop promises to be absolutely spectacular, and is recommended for kids ages 10 to 14. DID I DO THAT? A special Story Department/Hand & Wing Production

Where: Lewis Carnegie Studios
When: May 24, 2012, Doors open at 7pm
What: For the first time ever, Austin Bat Cave is turning over our monthly storytelling series, The Story Department, over to the kids. Over three weeks, Austin Bat Cave ran a writing workshop with the seniors of Manor New Tech High School that focused on the art of telling a good story. The theme we gave them: Did I Do That? The stories they gave us? Awesome. So awesome, we collected them into the fourth volume of Hand & Wing, which we will be launching at this event as well. Come hear some brilliantly told funny, poignant, heartbreaking stories—delivered without notes, without a script, like good stories should be told.

This show is all ages and we welcome you to come hear a sampling of the work produced by our workshops!
