SUMMARY:Creating Another World: Introduction to Portals
DESCRIPTION:Austin Bat Cave invites you to visit Turner Roberts Recreation Center for our Introduction to Portals workshop. \n\nThis program\, aimed at youth ages 6-10\, promotes creativity and imagination through performance\, writing\, and interactive devising of their own worlds. With puppets\, performers and whimsy\, we aim to make literacy fun and immersive. This workshop focuses on the imagining of a faraway world of your child’s choosing–from the weather and environment to the plants and animals. \nAll participants will receive a book of their choice from our free book fair and have the opportunity to have their work published in Austin Bat Cave’s upcoming Anthology\, Portals.\n\n\nThis project is supported in part by an Elevate Grant of Austin Arts\, Culture\, Music\, & Entertainment. \nEste proyecto cuenta con el apoyo parcial de un Subsidio Elevate de la Secretaría de Arte\, Cultura\, Música y Entretenimiento de Austin. \n
