In any genre of creative writing, whether you’re writing about real or imaginary places, the right details at the right time can transport readers wherever you want them to go. How do writers create a thoroughly immersive experience for their readers? In this 6-hour class, you will develop tools and strategies for world building through creative exercises, close readings, free writes, discussion and feedback. The class is open to writers of fiction and memoir at all levels.

Chaitali Sen is a writer based in Austin, Texas. Her debut novel, The Pathless Sky, was published by Europa Editions in 2015.
