Donate to Austin Bat Cave
Here’s what we’re facing: less than a third of students at Title 1 schools in Austin and Del Valle passed state reading and writing exams. Students need more writing support in the classroom. Please send your gift now to provide students across our community with crucial writing support and instruction.
Community support is vital. Your gift will give books to students living in Del Valle and writing support in schools and at our new writing center in east Austin. When young people get excited about and engaged in writing and telling stories, they reach new levels of learning and experience both personal and academic success.
Austin Bat Cave continues to leverage our creative community of poets, novelists, journalists, musicians, and teachers for an exciting year of programming with our partner schools and nonprofits. We are deepening our rich tradition of programming with a focus on restorative practices designed to build community and peer relationships within our workshops.
Your $35 gift secures a semester of writing instruction for one child.
Can we count on you to provide mentorship for 1 student, 3 students, maybe 5 students in Austin? Every dollar matters and brings a student one step closer to achieving academic and personal success.

Attend an Adult Program at ABC
If you are interested in participating in creative writing programs for adults, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. Programs for this semester are already in progress, but we offer semester-long and more limited programs for adults frequently and will put you on a list of people to contact with opportunities. Note that our adult programs cost money to attend; all proceeds support ABC’s free writing programs for children aged 6-18.
