Join us for a free one-day workshop! These sessions will take place from 8:30 – 11:30 am on Wednesday June 19th, June 26th, and July 3rd.
This workshop will focus on exploring and connecting with our history and ancestors through food, gardening, and storytelling. Students will learn about using gardening for food, medicine, and to explore our connection to the land and one another. They’ll write recipes for food and healing using the plants they grow, interview family and community members about the importance and history of plant and food knowledge and use storytelling to consider our responsibility to the land and each other.
This camp will take place at Red Salmon Arts/Resistencia Bookstore‘s community garden located at 2000 Thrasher Ln, Austin, TX 78741
