Description
In this workshop, campers will use writing and drawing to capture inspiration from the great outdoors and its many mysteries! Through nature walks and field trips, students will observe animals, plants, and other natural phenomena and create poems, stories, and illustrations to express the natural wonder they experience. Students will also learn about journaling and mindfulness and ways in which nature can help us better understand ourselves. *Note: This workshop will take place at various locations outdoors and may involve transportation provided by ABC teachers
This workshop will take place at Cedars International Next Gen High School.
- If each of our students donated $100 this summer, then Austin Bat Cave will be able to reach more students than ever before. For 16 years, Austin Bat Cave has provided affordable creative writing programs for Central Texas youth. Your donation will go towards supplies, teacher stipends, and other resources ABC needs in order to keep amplifying young voices. ABC’s actual cost is over $1,000 per camp, but we know the benefit of helping students tell their stories and sharing them with the world is priceless.
- When checking out, please add your student’s name and grade in the “Order Notes” section.
